I wanted to share a poem that was an honorable mention in the Juvenile Hall Poetry Contest in April, for National Poetry Month. No More!
You smile at the edge of sight,
and I turn to see you. No More!
You whisper between words,
and I hush to hear you. No More!
without you I am in darkness,
and the sun hides beneath the world.
No More! Will I ever be held down,
or be a menace to society. No More!

Karan Simoni The Art Junk Gypsy
I'm a self Proclaimed Art Junk Gypsy. I live in the beautiful Napa Valley. I spend a lot of time trudging through thrift stores and antique shops looking for hidden treasures. I have been spotted all over the country, scrounging, dumpster diving and sidewalk shopping (picking through the trash on the sidewalk on big neighborhood clean up days). There is no trip too far for the Art Junk Gypsy. From upcycling fashions and jewelry to reuse crafts and furniture makeovers... if its crafty, old, shabby, rusty or sparkly, I can't resist it. My current passion is jewelry making. I love to travel with my Spaniard, exploring places we've never been, learning about new places, making lovely friends along the way.
